The State of California passed AB 2007 which took effect on the first of this year and mandates that all youth sports organizations have a concussion protocol in place. Pony Baseball is mandating that all coaches on tournament teams this upcoming tournament season take a training course on concussion protocol. Hart is requiring all Directors and Umpires to take the on line course during this Spring season. Starting with the upcoming Fall season, all managers, coaches, and team moms will be required to complete the course to participate on softball and baseball teams. Applications are now being accepted for the Wm. S. Hart 2017 College Scholarship.
Please complete the attached application and mail to the address listed. Interviews will take place at the Hart Complex during the month of May. Scholarships are available to all past players who have participated in baseball or softball at Hart for at least 3 years in the 10U and 12U division. The applicant does not need to be playing ball while in college to receive a scholarship.
All volunteers including team moms, managers, coaches, and once in a while batting or pitching coachs are required by Hart to go through the Livescan process through DOJ. If any adult is around your child, you have the right to ask to see his/her badge to confirm they have gone through a background check. Forms and Info Doc are on the Hart Information page.
Please note that LiveScan is specific to each organization so you must have a new scan for Hart even if you have been scanned and approved previously for other organizations or employment.
If you have previously completed the LiveScan processing for Hart your approval REMAINS VALID. Your old ID badge remains valid. New volunteers or those who need a replacement badge will be issued a new badge on request. Once you have been Livescanned you MUST email a photo headshot to our Security Director before you can be issued a badge (email link below).

We have installed artificial turf in the foul territory area on the Mustang 1 and Pinto fields. Because of that, we are not allowing chewing gum or sunflower seeds on those two fields. We have also put turf in some of the Softball batting cages. No seeds or gum there either. Thank you for your understanding.

Lloyd Sreden, a longtime Hart parent and directer, passed away on Monday June 27. He will always be remembered as one of the truly good guys, not only for his time here at Hart, but for his volunteer work in our valley. Our condolences to the Sreden family.
The service was held on Thursday, June 30th.
Lloyd's desire was to help others receive quality care and treatment. The Sreden family would appreciate donations in Lloyd's memory to the City of Hope Cancer Center to ensure that future cancer patients will be able to have the same fighting chance as Lloyd had. Click HERE to donate.
Smoking or use of any tobacco product, electronic cigarette, or vapor device while supervising any child participating in any activity associated with Wm. S. Hart Baseball/Softball is prohibited. Smoking or use of any tobacco product, electronic cigarette, or vapor device while on the Wm. S. Hart complex will only be permitted in the parking areas.
Animals are NOT allowed on the Hart complex. - No Exceptions. Service dogs are the only animals permitted and must be on a leash per ADA Regulations. Comfort dogs, frequently found being carried in beach type bags are not considered service dogs per ADA Regulations and are not allowed on the complex.
Bikes, skateboards, "heelies", razor scooters, hover boards, or other wheeled conveyances are NOT to be used on the complex unless required per ADA requirements.

Log into the online Parent Volunteer Calendar to select and schedule your volunteer shift in the canteen. Log in HERE. The calendar will show you all available shift options . Use the same log in you used when you registered your players.
Board meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in the canteen meeting room unless otherwise announced.
