We will be offering 11U, 12U, 13U, and 60/90 baseball divisions for Travel/Club teams. Individual players can not register for this League. Questions to our Commissioner, Jarrod Brunsmann. Click HERE to register.

Online Registration for Spring is Now Closed
Online Registration Ended on 12-30 at midnight. Walk in Registration will be Tuesday, 1/16/18 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. CASH AND CREDIT CARDS ONLY. NO CHECKS. Tryouts are scheduled for the following dates:
- Friday, January 19, 2018 (7:00 to 9:00 PM)
- Saturday, January 20, 2018 (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
- Sunday, January 21, 2018 (11:00 AM to 2:00 PM)

I've always said, if I'm going to give my time back to this great city, it's going to be doing something I love. And there is nothing I love more than baseball.

We are looking for volunteers for the upcoming Baseball and Softball Season. We don't ask for much... A few hours a month hanging out with great people for the youth of the Santa Clarita Valley is a great way to spend your free time.

Our league of 2,000 plus kids is run by 100% community volunteers. Whether you have specific skills to improve the complex, great ideas on how to make the league better, or you just simply walk around the complex during the season to make sure everything is running smoothly, we need you!

RULES CHANGES, 2017-2018
BATS - For spring 2018, In conjunction with USA Baseball and its other participating national member organizations, PONY Baseball has adopted the new USA Baseball bat standard (USABat). Effective January 1, 2018, with the exception of -3 (BBCOR certified), all other 2 1/4" and 2 5/8" barrel bats with a minus factor of (-5, -7, -9, etc.), must be USABat certified with the USABat licensing stamp on the bat in order to be used for league and tournament play. All 2 1/4" and 2 5/8" minus factor bats -5, -7, -9, etc. used in 2017 will be illegal to use in 2018. More Information

Tee ball bats are not required to undergo lab testing to receive approval under the USABat program. However, to be approved for play, tee ball bats must carry the USA Baseball mark accompanied by the following text: "Only For Use With Approved Tee Ball Bats." If you already have a tee ball bat you would like to continue using, all you have to do is purchase a USA Bat sticker directly from USA Baseball and place it on your bat. You can purchase a USA Bat sticker, click here. Tee ball bats manufactured after the new rule was adopted will already include the USABat Baseball mark.

CLEATS - Starting with FALL TRYOUTS, metal cleats will not be allowed in ANY baseball division other than Colt and 60/90. There are no exceptions to this rule.

Initiation of Hart Concussion Protocol Procedure
Hart Families,
The State of California passed AB 2007 which took effect on the first of this year and mandates that all youth sports organizations have a concussion protocol in place. Pony Baseball is mandating that all coaches on tournament teams this upcoming tournament season take a training course on concussion protocol. Hart is requiring all Directors and Umpires to take the on line course during this Spring season. Starting with the upcoming Fall season, all managers, coaches, and team moms will be required to complete the course to participate on softball and baseball teams. You can see the text of AB 2007 HERE. The link to take the on-line course is HERE. It requires a registration procedure and about 30 minutes of your time.

Spring 21017 Livescan Info
All volunteers including team moms, managers, coaches, and once in a while batting or pitching coachs are required by Hart to go through the Livescan process through DOJ. If any adult is around your child, you have the right to ask to see his/her badge to confirm they have gone through a background check. Forms and Info Doc are on the Hart Information page.

Please note that LiveScan is specific to each organization so you must have a new scan for Hart even if you have been scanned and approved previously for other organizations or employment.

If you have previously completed the LiveScan processing for Hart your approval REMAINS VALID. Your old ID badge remains valid. New volunteers or those who need a replacement badge will be issued a new badge on request. Once you have been Livescanned you MUST email a photo headshot to our Security Director before you can be issued a badge (email link below).

New Turf On Bronco, Pony, Mustang 1 and Pinto
We have installed artificial turf in the foul territory area on the Bronco, Pony, Mustang 1 and Pinto fields. Because of that, we are not allowing chewing gum or sunflower seeds on those two fields. We have also put turf in some of the Softball batting cages. No seeds or gum there either. Thank you for your understanding.

E-cigarettes and Vapor Devices Prohibited
Smoking or use of any tobacco product, electronic cigarette, or vapor device while supervising any child participating in any activity associated with Wm. S. Hart Baseball/Softball is prohibited. Smoking or use of any tobacco product, electronic cigarette, or vapor device while on the Wm. S. Hart complex will only be permitted in the parking areas.

No Pets On Complex
Animals are NOT allowed on the Hart complex. - No Exceptions. Service dogs are the only animals permitted and must be on a leash per ADA Regulations. Comfort dogs, frequently found being carried in beach type bags are not considered service dogs per ADA Regulations and are not allowed on the complex.

Wheeled Conveyance Policy
Bikes, skateboards, "heelies", razor scooters, hover boards, or other wheeled conveyances are NOT to be used on the complex unless required per ADA requirements.

Log into the online Parent Volunteer Calendar to select and schedule your volunteer shift in the canteen. Log in HERE. The calendar will show you all available shift options . Use the same log in you used when you registered your players.

Board meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in the canteen meeting room unless otherwise announced.
